From July 8 to 26, a group of international open sea swimmers performed a #Swimtogether circumnavigation around Maui Hawaiian Island, called Epic Swim Maui. OceanDataLab has been a science partner of the expedition, providing real time wind, wave and current mapping around the island with swimmers trackers embeded to follow the swim. Additional ocean current in-situ measurements has been provided during the expedition based on drone and wave drifter deployements.
The ultimate goal of the expedition is to "Call to Action for Ocean Health".
